Sara Harrel

Sara is an expert vegetarian chef and consumer packaged goods marketer, and has over 25 years’ experience with Smucker Foods, Unilever, Wyeth Consumer Healthcare and Neilson Dairy. Sara spearheaded the development and launch of Canada’s first ever Certificate in Vegetarian Cuisine over 10 years ago at George Brown’s School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts in Toronto, where she still teaches. She is the driving force behind revising, rebranding and expanding the program to a Vegetarian Culinary Arts Certificate with a plant-focused perspective. She was retained as the chef spokesperson for several Canadian media tours and as the Food Network’s online “Ask a Vegetarian Chef Expert”. Sara has a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University, Food and the Media Certificate from George Brown and the Interprovincial Culinary Red Seal. Sara runs The Veg Company, which develops and implements culinary and marketing programs for consumer packaged goods and foodservice organizations. Her dual expertise in both the culinary and marketing areas brings a unique and valued perspective to clients.

He has extensive experience with systems and process design and implementation, including ERP, Planning, Supply Chain, and Reporting Systems. His areas of focus include Finance, Demand Planning, Sales Reporting, Manufacturing Accounting, and Supply Chain. Understanding profitability and managing trade spending are Greg’s key strengths. Greg has been consulting to food and distribution companies for the past 5 years. He has an MBA from McGill University and is a CMA.

John Szold

John is a Retail and Marketing specialist who oversaw buying for many powerful Canadian retailers including Oshawa Foods, Loblaws and the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO). John spent over 25 years negotiating programs with some of the largest consumer goods manufacturers in the world. Additionally, John’s dream job came true as Brand Manager for Ben & Jerry’s in Canada. He graduated from the Schulich School of Business at York University and currently divides his energy teaching brand management and marketing at Schulich, the University of Toronto and the University of Guelph. Through his boutique practice, Planning for Succession Inc., John delivers organization development solutions to companies. He has completed his Institute of Corporate Directors DEP program, and serves as an independent director of HealthPRO Canada.
